This is not a Ben story. (My stories are not as good as Ben's.) But I wanted to tell you that sometimes Colorado is not so rad. Like when the Lieutenant Governor speaks at the AmeriCorps conference and says that one of the four good things about America is that we trust in God (and most of the people applaud her), and that it is illegal to volunteer in Finland. (Because you can't volunteer in socialist countries.) "Don't let anyone tell you otherwise--look it up for yourself."
My favorite kids are Moxcis, Crisol, Leonardo, Adrian, Ibraham, Daniel, and Louis. And in the first grade: Emily and Jacob and Annie.
Esbeidy and Pablo are a fourth grade couple.
Also first grader Bell because she says, "Hi, Miss Bell!" And I say, "Hi, Bell!"
Leonardo is an artist with new glasses and he used to want to switch out of my group, but now he doesn't. He always gives me his drawings, if I let him draw in class. Moxcis is a sharp and tough kid with a long, straight ponytail and bright blue hearing aids. They take him out of class three days per week for computer time because he is "gifted and talented," but then he doesn't know what the vocab words mean, and we are both sad. Once he decided to stay in class, but only once. Crisol is the coolest girl. She laughed when I had to hold a tissue on my nose in class, but then gasped and said, "¡Mira!--sangre," when she saw that I had a bloody nose, and then she laughed at me again.
I get bloody noses because I have a cold and I use so many tissues and it is so dry here. My mom told me to put vaseline in my nose before I go to sleep. Which is also un-rad.
My aunt wore the same outfit to my brother's parent's weekend (on purpose) that she wore to my parent's weekend four years ago. Which is a cool thing in Connecticut.
I should probably stop here. Goodnight. Pleasant dreams. I often think of you.--E

i dont't think you're allowed to have favorites; it will make the other kids cry i think.
Yeah, I make the kids cry--it's true. Sometimes I make my favorite kids cry by making them think that they are not my favorites. Luckily, I have more favorites than not-favorites. But I do have some not-favorites. Unfortunately. But it helps more to think of who I really really like than who I don't really like. You know?
*Disclaimer* *Gross is happening*
1. Once in Steamboat I had a nosebleed so effusive that I had to ride down the mountain off the resort in a ski patrol sled. My nosebleed utilized low air pressure to become an eyebleed.
2. I didn't think far enough ahead. Let me compose myself--is Moxcis a Mixtec name?
3. Which poet is at the begining of your thesis?
Gross is happening.
I don't know what kind of a name is Moxcis, but probably Mixtec, which is a Chris-ism? Or an established way to say that? He's definitely from Mexico. And he's cool.
Louise Gluck with an oomlau :)
