Colfax antannae men

So our house is in kind of a shady neighborhood, right off of a really busy street, and a homeless woman walked in once before when we were all sitting in the living room, and asked for the man with the shopping cart who lives in the alley because she wanted to give him some lemons (because he was sick) and we told her that there were several men who fit that description, and that we didn't know where he was, and after a little persuading she believed us and left.

But today Sophie came home from the library and there was a very drunk, very dirty man sitting on our couch watching Jurassic Park on tv. And I was upstairs in my room, and Micah and Katherine were in their rooms, and he was just chilling out downstairs and nobody knew :). And he didn't steal anything (he walked Sophie around the downstairs--and showed her all the things he could have stolen--to prove that he hadn't stolen anything). But when she came into the living room and first saw him he said, "I'm just another customer." Three times, and she said, "This is not a business." I heard a male voice that wasn't Micah's, but people are always bringing new friends over, and eventually I went down to say hi to Mousou and her friend (who weren't actually there, of course) and all I heard him say was, "I thought this was a coffee shop." And Micah was there by then taking care of things and I figured it was just another woman-with-lemons incident and my phone started ringing (and I was expecting an important phone call), so I went and left again :).

He asked to use Sophie's phone, and she let him. And he asked Micah and Sophie each for a dollar and they refused to give him money because he came into our home. And he asked for a cigarette, and Micah said, "Nobody smokes." And then realized that there were two packs of cigarettes on the table from last night. And he told them that he just got into Denver today, and he didn't steal anything. Micah said, "Thanks for not stealing anything." And they say that he was a pretty nice guy.

Watching Jurassic Park on tv downstairs :). He said that he used our bathroom, and he poured himself some water. (And Sophie thinks maybe some wine, because we had a lot of leftover Thanksgiving wine.) And he didn't steal anything. And I'm glad that we gave someone a pleasant afternoon in a living room with a movie, but we are locking our doors from now on.
