having a birthday is funny. it feels like having a big secret that only your friends know, or those people you choose to tell. but you're bringing people their food, ordering coffee at the non-starbucks coffee shop that you just discovered (thank goodness, you had been ignorantly going to starbucks for far too long), taking care of biz, and all the while, you're getting phone calls, facebook messages, and text messages that all say happy birthday. it's somehow wonderfully special.
oh yes, and tralala it's also special when the rich people with the 4 year old daughter who you babysat this summer in ann arbor take you to london with them. this weekend.
