i got a job today
a job at last
i have to figure out some way to maintain a sense of freedom, just in case this one doesn't work out. i need to be able to "always quit". it would be un-american of me to remain completely committed. so i have to keep looking for other jobs, but that will only encourage me to be lazy; i will constantly be aware of my safety net, so to speak, and as they say, and borrowing the colloquialism.
i wish i were a rock star

Dear Ben,
Whenever I think of freedom, I think two things. 1)America and 2)Kickin' Ass.
[1)
a. gotta go big, huge if possible
b. don't never stop, and try to listen to others as seldom as possible]
In that spirit, I like to think of that quintessential free American, the Chick from Titanic. So if you wanna prove you're free, get you onto the front of one a them city buses and put your arms out like a free soul crucified between american freedom and heavenly freedom, like you can be so free 'cause your body and your soul's free, cause you live in 'Merica AND the Book of Life.
Then you just scream "I'm the King of the World" and that'll show any boss who's real. (it's okay to call yourself the king because Jesus is gonna wipe this world away at the end of time and that's not blasphemy. Anyway, President's more important.)
